WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College will highlight student creativity this spring during its Spring 2026 Student Art Exhibition.

The exhibition will be on display March 9 through May 1 at the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery in downtown Wilmington.

The annual showcase features work by current CFCC students and celebrates emerging voices within the local art community. Pieces will be displayed in a variety of media, including ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, photography, drawing, painting and digital design.

College officials say the exhibit reflects pivotal moments in each artist’s development, with works ranging from serious to playful and from deeply personal to widely relatable themes. Students from the Commercial, Fine and Performing Arts Department, as well as other areas of the college, are represented.

Artwork will be evaluated by category, and a Best in Show award will be selected.

Madison Creech, assistant professor of art and art history at University of North Carolina Wilmington, will serve as the guest juror. Creech specializes in graphic design and illustration and is an active member of Wilmington’s art community through her co-run gallery, Fried Fruit Art Space.

A public reception is scheduled for Friday, March 27, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Wilma W. Daniels Gallery is located at 200 Hanover St. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
