CFPUA schedules precautionary boil water advisory for parts of Wrightsville Beach

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority scheduled a precautionary boil water advisory for part of Wrightsville Beach.
75 customers will be impacts starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday from 101 to 225 S. Lumina Ave, 106 to 225 Waynick Blvd., and 2 Chadbourn Street.
Customers may experience a temporary water outage or lower pressure as crews work to repair a broken water main in the area.
When under a boil water advisory, customers are asked to boil their water for one minute, then allow it to cool prior to consumption. People can also use an alternative source like bottled water.
Boiling water during a boil water advisory is not necessary when showering or taking a bath.
