Children’s Museum of Wilmington to host adults-only Pizza Putt fundraiser
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Children’s Museum of Wilmington is bringing back a popular event this Friday with a twist on fun, food, and games. “Pizza Putt,” an adults-only fundraiser, will transform the museum into a mini golf course and beer garden from 6 to 9 p.m.
Museum board member Brett Bloomquist says it’s a fun way to help raise money for the museum to continue its mission.
“It’s a long-standing tradition at the museum that we recently brought back,” Bloomquist said. “We transform the Children’s Museum into a mini golf course, and the courtyard turns into a beer garden.”
Attendees can look forward to unlimited beer, unlimited pizza, 18 holes of mini golf, and additional activities, including raffles, a Mug Master Challenge, and a hole-in-one contest.
While the Children’s Museum is typically filled with families and kids, this event is strictly for those 21 and older. Funds raised during the evening will support the museum’s exhibits and maintenance, helping to continue providing hands-on learning experiences for children and their caregivers.
“Last year, we had 65,000 visitors,” Bloomquist said. “This fundraiser allows us to keep the maintenance up and the exhibits running.”
Limited tickets for Pizza Putt are still available and can be purchased here.
