Coast Guard rescues father and daughter

EMERALD ISLE, NC (WWAY) — The Coast Guard rescued a father and daughter Monday near Bogue Inlet after their jet ski became disabled, according to a press release.

The press release said watchstanders at Station Emerald Isle received a report at 12:45 Monday afternoon that a 16-year-old female was on a disabled jet ski while her 53-year-old father was in the water.

The Coast Guard said a boat crew took the jet ski and passengers to their dock in Emerald Isle.

No injuries or pollution were reported.
