Columbus Co. deputies search for break-in suspect, multiple guns stolen

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Columbus County Sheriff deputies are searching for the man they say broke into a Whiteville home last month and stole multiple firearms.

The crime happened on Bill Hooks Road in Whiteville between November 27 – 29. The report was made on the 29.

Deputies say multiple firearms, a Yeti cooler, a compound bow, and cash were taken.

Surveillance photos were released of a person of interest that deputies would like to speak to.

The suspect vehicle is a white Nissan Murano SUV with North Carolina tags. The SUV appears to be between a 2003-2007 model.
