Connor Barth launches app in Wilmington to help people connect socially

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wrightsville Beach resident Connor Barth is one of the best kickers in the NFL. We’ve known that for awhile, but did you know Barth is now a social media entrepreneur?

The Denver Broncos kicker launched a new app on Friday night in downtown Wilmington at the Ironclad Brewery on 2nd Street. The purpose of the app is to help people meet up while providing information on happy hours, drinnk specials and dinner as well. As of now the ToastTogether App is only available in Wilmington, but that will change soon as Barth and his business partner Ryan Watts expand into more cities. “I am just trying to further my career outside of football,” Barth told WWAY on Friday night. “With the Achilles injury and other things that have happened you kind of got to plan for the future. I met a guy, Ryan Watts and we talked business and this past December we came up with this idea to helping people connect socially with all of the different bars and restaurants around town, toast to that, you can see who is going out, who is not going out. It kinda eliminates the group message and here we are today launching it. It is kinda a cool thing that we could do it in my hometown.”

The ToastTogether App is free and available now for iPhones. It will become available for Androids soon.
