Cucalorus receiving $30,000 grant from National Endowment for the Arts

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cucalorus has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $30,000.
This grant will support the 30th annual Cucalorus Film Festival, happening November 20th through 24th.
“The NEA is delighted to announce this grant to Cucalorus Film Foundation, which is helping contribute to the strength and well-being of the arts sector and local community,” said National Endowment for the Arts Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD. “We are pleased to be able to support this community and help create an environment where all people have the opportunity to live artful lives.”
The 30th annual Cucalorus Film Festival will include 70+ events from film screenings to expanded cinema and performances. The multi-disciplinary festival showcases more than 120 independent and international films complemented by performances, art installations, and a beloved program of dance works and dance films.
