Deputies investigating shooting at New Hanover County intersection

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — People in two vehicles exchanged gunfire at about noon Monday, according to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened at the intersection of N. College and Gordon Roads.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation into the shootout halted traffic in the area for a while, but no injuries have been reported.

Officials are still investigating the incident.

No one is in custody at this time.
