World No. 1 Dustin Johnson ready to get back to work at Wells Fargo Championship
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — There were perfect conditions at Eagle Point Golf Club this morning, when the pros hit the course for the Pro-Am.
The world’s top-ranked golfer Dustin Johnson had an early tee time, as he played his first full 18 starting at 6:45 a.m.
It was the first competition that Johnson has faced since injuring his back last month before The Masters.
You might assume Johnson had some rust, but he didn’t show it today. D.J. four-under, including an eagle on hole No. 4.
The question of the day, with the previous injury, how did his back feel going into round one tomorrow?
“Feeling good, healthy so I can’t complain,” Johnson said. “Obviously I haven’t played much or done a whole lot of practicing but the body is all good. Glad to be back out playing again.”
Johnson will tee off tomorrow for round one at 7:56 a.m. starting on hole No. 10.
