Female WPD officers get 2nd season of Lifetime TV show

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The women of the Wilmington Police Department will continue to patrol the small screen.

Lifetime’s series “Live PD Presents: Women on Patrol” is returning to Wilmington to film a second season.

WPD Spokeswoman Linda Thompson confirmed the news.

The series premiered in June and follows 10 female officers and lieutenants with the department as they patrol Wilmington.

From Big Fish Entertainment, producers of A&E’s hit series Live PD, Lifetime’s Women on Patrol follow female law enforcement officers from around the country including departments in Jackson (WY), Wilmington (NC), Tempe (AZ) and Stockton (CA) as well as officers featured on Live PD.
