Festival of Trees returns to Ocean Isle Beach

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) –The Museum of Coastal Carolina’s Festival of Trees is returning Nov. 6.

Now in its sixth year, the event has raised thousands of dollars for area nonprofits ranging from sea turtle rescue groups to hurricane relief efforts.

Through Dec. 31, the museum’s galleries will transform into a winter wonderland, featuring 21 uniquely decorated Christmas trees. Each tree is sponsored by a local business or organization and will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting charities throughout the region.

Visitors can stroll through the displays, vote for their favorite tree and even buy extra ballots to boost their chosen entry’s chances of winning the “People’s Choice” award. The winner will be announced Dec. 29.

This year’s tree themes include “Country Christmas,” “Under the Sea,” “O Holy Night,” and other traditional holiday motifs. .

Admission to the Festival of Trees is included with regular museum entry, which is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for children ages 3–12. The event runs Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m., excluding Thanksgiving Day. The museum will also be open Dec. 29–31.
