Former ‘James Bond’ Roger Moore dead at 89
Actor Roger Moore, best known for his performances as secret agent James Bond, has died. He was 89.
Moore’s family announced his death this morning on his Twitter account.
“It is with a heavy heart that we must announce our loving father, Sir Roger Moore, has passed away today after a short but brave battle with cancer,” they wrote. “Thank you Pops for being you, and for being so very special to so many people.”

Moore appeared in seven films as Agent 007 and starred in the 1960s TV series “The Saint.” He also served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
