Former South Brunswick star Walker Jenkins promoted to AAA, one step from MLB

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Former South Brunswick High School baseball star Walker Jenkins is one step away from the majors.

Jenkins has been promoted to the Twins’ AAA team, the St. Paul Saints.

This comes after Jenkins hit .304 with 8 home runs and 26 RBI between three teams this season.

Jenkins is just 20 years old and was drafted by the Twins as the 5th overall draft pick in 2023.

If he continues at the same pace, most people expect Jenkins to reach the majors by 2026.
