Four former Wilmington Sharks players on MLB Opening Day rosters

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Major League Baseball season kicked off Thursday with Opening Day across the league.

Four former Wilmington Sharks players are starting the 2024 season on a big league roster.

Alec Bohm (Phillies 3rd baseman), Ryan Jeffers (Twins catcher), Mitch Spence (A’s bullpen pitcher) and Emilio Pagan (Reds pitcher) played for the Sharks within the last 13 years.

They represent four of the 780 active Major League Baseball players.
