WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A live orchestral performance of the classic film “Ghostbusters” is scheduled to take the stage at Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center this fall.

According to a news release, “Ghostbusters in Concert” will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The event will feature a screening of the 1984 film on a large screen while a full orchestra performs the score live.

The performance will include music by composer Elmer Bernstein, with the orchestra playing alongside the film to recreate its soundtrack.

“Ghostbusters” stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as parapsychologists who start a ghost-catching business in New York City. The film also features Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis and Ernie Hudson.

Organizers say the event is designed for a wide audience, including families and fans of film and live music, and is timed around the Halloween season.

Tickets will be available to Wilson Center members beginning Thursday, April 2, at 10 a.m. General public sales begin Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m., both online and in person.
