Great weather for battleship Easter egg hunt carnival
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It was egg-cellent weather for the annual egg hunt at the Battleship today.
Thousands of people, young and old, came out for a great day by the river.
There were hunt areas for kids based on their ages and one for children with special needs.
Danielle Wallace is the Program Director at the Battleship and says the event has been growing every year.
“Last year we had about 2,500 people, but it is one of the those situation where the park can accommodate everybody and we are just bless to having this fantastic view of Wilmington,” said Wallace.
Wallace said there were more than 30,000 eggs so everyone would be able to go home with a basket full of eggs and candy.
