Good weather draws out big crowd to Riverfest Saturday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — After being postponed back in October due to weather, Riverfest was finally a go this weekend and the weather was great for it Saturday.

All the fried food options you could imagine lined Water Street in Downtown Wilmington along with many art vendors.

It’s a weekend of good food, music, and family time especially for the Nancy Debnam.

She says they come every year and really enjoys finding something good to eat.

“My favorite part is the corn dogs, funnel cakes, and popcorn,” said Debnam. “We usually go to Paddy’s Hollow afterwards.”

Several bands hit the main stage throughout the day and another day of Riverfest is expected Sunday.

The event is free and open to the public.
