HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND: Junior League of Wilmington’s 70th annual Bargain Sale

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Junior League of Wilmington is holding its 70th annual bargain sale this weekend.

The Bargain Sale is the Junior League of Wilmington’s largest fundraiser of the year. Attendees can shop new and pre-owned home decor, housewares, clothing, books, sporting equipment, furniture, children’s clothing, and more.

This event offers attendees a first look at this year’s Bargain Sale items and the opportunity to shop from several local vendors. Light hors d’ oeuvres, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, will be served. Tickets for Sip & Shop are $15 per person and include admission to Saturday’s sale.

The event is happening Friday, March 1, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. It will be on Saturday, March 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge #532  at 5102 Oleander Drive, Wilmington.

All proceeds are used to support our mission of developing the leadership potential of women and improving the community through our work with and support for local nonprofits.

At the Saturday Bargain Sale, all items will be 50% off the ticketed price. All children’s items (including toys and clothing) will only be available on Saturday.

The Junior League of Wilmington has been empowering and supporting the leadership development of women in Wilmington and providing volunteer efforts and support to local non-profits since 1952. Over the past 71 years, we have contributed over $1,000,000 in charitable donations and volunteered tens of thousands of hours within the community.
