WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Submissions are being accepted for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition.

All high school students within the Seventh Congressional District are encouraged to participate.

The winning artist’s work will be showcased for one year in the halls of the U.S. Capitol along with other winning entries from every Congressional District across the country.

“The Congressional Art Competition is a true showcase of the outstanding young artists in North Carolina and across the country,” said Congressman Rouzer. “Every year, I am impressed by the talented students from across our region who participate.  I’m proud to once again host this year’s competition to provide one of our impressive artists from the Seventh District the opportunity to have their artwork on display in the U.S. Capitol building for thousands to see.”

Each spring since 1982, a nationwide high school art competition is sponsored by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Guidelines and regulations to participate in the competition as well as the student release form can be found HERE.
