Highway Patrol reports 750 crashes statewide by 6pm during winter storm
RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported 750 collisions statewide during a winter storm period spanning from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
In a Facebook post, the Highway Patrol said it also handled 817 calls for service during that same time frame.
The agency reported zero weather-related fatal collisions during the reporting period.
The Highway Patrol is urging drivers to use caution and avoid travel if possible as winter conditions continue to impact roadways across the state.
