Icy bridges reported across western Pender County

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Icy conditions are being reported on bridges across western Pender County, according to Pender County Emergency Management.

Officials are urging drivers to stay off the roads unless travel is absolutely necessary, noting that bridges can freeze faster than surrounding roadways.

At this time, no power outages have been reported. Pender County Emergency Management says power crews are on standby.
