Inaugural St. James golf tournament raises more than $127,000 for Wounded Warrior Project

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A golf tournament in Brunswick County recently raised more than $127,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.
The inaugural St James WWP Golf Tournament was held on April 27th with 380 golfers playing 3 1/2 courses in St James Plantation.
More funds will be added to the raised amount as other sources of donations are still open, including an online auction open to all local residents.
The tournament was honored to host the recently retired CEO of the WWP, Lt. General Michael Linnington and one of the wounded warriors who has benefited from the program, Ret. Army Ranger John Rego.
