Incumbents win re-election for Brunswick County Commissioner

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Pat Sykes, Mike Forte, and Frank Williams have won re-election for their positions as Brunswick County Commissioners.

Sykes, who serves as County Commissioner of District 3, was first elected in 2012 and won with close to 63% of the votes.

Forte, vice chair of the Board and Commissioner of District 4, was first elected in 2016 and won with around 60% of the votes.

Williams, County Commissioner of District 5, was first elected in 2012 and won with 60% of the votes.

In a statement, Williams says:

“I’m grateful to the voters for entrusting me with another term serving the county where I grew up. While there are always things we need to work on and areas where we can improve, tonight’s result demonstrates that Brunswick County residents support our commitment to keeping taxes low and focusing resources on key priorities like public safety, public education, and water and sewer infrastructure.”

In total, 109,215 people voted in Brunswick County, with 93,513 taking part in early voting.
