Irma causes change to Hoggard football schedule

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Hoggard football team was scheduled to play their game against Carolina Forest High School in Myrtle Beach, SC Friday night, but Hurricane Irma has moved that game to tomorrow.

According to the Carolina Forest Athletic Director, the school is likely to become a shelter Saturday with the impending hurricane. As a result, all after school activities, including the game, have been cancelled for Friday.

The game will be played tomorrow following the JV contest.
