Jordon Talley signs pro contract in Germany
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Former UNCW Basketball star Jordon Talley will trade his teal wings for white wings after signing a professional basketball contract with the Hebeisen White Wings in Hanau, Germany.
Talley was a key leader on the UNCW Basketball team that appeared in three straight conference title games, winning two of them, sending the team into the NCAA tournament in 2016 and 2017.
#4 left UNCW as the 8th greatest scorer in program history with 1,306 points in the teal and yellow.
Now he looks to leave his mark in the pro ranks.
“It’s always been my dream to play professional basketball,” Talley said. “The end dream and goal, still to this day, is the NBA. But to get paid to play something that I love? I can’t complain there. Everything that I heard about Germany, from people that visited and some of my friends that went before me and played overseas over there, all have been nothing but good things. I’m blessed with the opportunity and I will take advantage of it.”
Talley says he will leave to report to the White Wings in early August.
Best of luck Jordon, we know you’ll represent the area well!
