Judicial candidates want voters to consider all information when voting
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Judicial candidates met at the Wilmington Airport this morning to talk about why it’s important to not just pick a name on a ballot in some of the races that don’t always make the headlines.
Judicial nominees Bob Hunter, Hunter Murphy and Bob Edmunds were all in attendance this morning.
For the first time, NC Court of Appeals candidates have their party affiliations listed on ballots.
But that isn’t all that these nominees want to be known for. They understand that people can sometimes lean on party affiliation as a reason to vote for candidates, but they say that there are more important things to consider on Election Day.
“I think that’s key and that’s why we’re out here doing what we need to do,” Court of Appeals candidate Murphy said. “To make sure that people aren’t just picking randomly and that they’re not just picking on party affiliation. They’re making decisions on who will be the best judges for the next eight years.”
The judges are taking part in a tour across the state by conservative judicial candidates.
