K9 finds drugs during traffic stop

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A traffic stop turned into a drug discovery in Brunswick County.

According to a post on the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, K9 Dickey found 68 grams of MDMA at a traffic stop with Dep. Moore in Shallotte yesterday. After the discovery, the man in the car was arrested.

The sheriff’s office said Rishaud James Bellamy, 28, is facing charges including three counts of trafficking MDMA and was booked in jail under a $1,310,000 bond.
