Kenan Fountain work to wrap soon

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — City staff says updates to Wilmington Kenan Fountain should be complete by mid-September.

Crews still need to finish wiring lights and install handicap ramps on the sidewalks at 5th and Market streets.

In April Wilmington City Council approved a $46,000 lighting package for the historic fountain that has been plagued by car accidents.

Staff says updates should be finished September 15.
