Larry Brock steps down as North Brunswick Head Coach

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — After spending the last two years as Scorpions head coach, Larry Brock is stepping down from the position. But he is not leaving Brunswick County.

Pending school board approval, Brock will be a credit counselor at South Brunswick High School, his alma mater, and help help coach the offensive linemen for the school’s football team.

Brock says this was the best move for he and his family.

“I was lucky enough to win four state championships helping with the track team,” Brock said. “That’s a neat thing to have and I’ll always hold on to that and I have the rings. It’s a neat thing and it’s been a good deal. It’s just, the timing is right to take a step back.”

If you remember, last season Brock helped host the 5th Quarter here on WWAY.

Best of luck in the future Coach Brock!
