RALEIGH, N.C (WNCN/WNCT) — You have until Thursday April, 12th to weigh in on the future of confederate monuments at North Carolina’s capitol.

Last year, the N.C. Historical Commission voted to postpone any decision regarding a petition from the N.C. Department of Administration to relocate three Confederate monuments until their April 2018 meeting.

The Confederate Women’s Monument, Confederate Soldiers Monument, and the Henry Lawson Wyatt Monument are all on the State Capitol grounds in Raleigh.

The petition wants them moved to the Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site in Four Oaks, N.C.
