Leland Fire/Rescue announces new ladder truck for more efficient responses

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Fire/Rescue has acquired a new ladder truck aimed to make emergency responses more efficient.

The Tractor Drawn Aerial (TDA) is a specialized truck, combining ladder and rescue functions into one.

Leland Fire/Rescue say it will be several months before it actually goes into service, with equipment mounting and training beginning in November.

But once it’s ready to roll, Leland Fire/Rescue saws it’s a “game-changer” for faster responses as Leland continues to grow.
