The ninth annual event will take place Saturday, Oct. 25, at Savard Beer and Board, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and performances starting at 6:30 p.m. The evening is expected to feature live performances, audience participation, and a cash prize for the winner.

Event creator Ariana Jo Gill said 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Roc Solid Foundation, a local organization that supports children with cancer, including helping build backyard play sets for families.

The competition is open to anyone who wishes to perform, with participants performing two songs in two rounds. Performers do not need to pay to participate, and registration is accepted up to the day of the event. Three judges will determine the winners. The grand prize is $500, with a $100 runner-up prize. WWAY’s Matt Bennett will be one of the judges for the event.

Gill said the event is free to attend for the public, with a suggested donation of $25 at the door. Attendees can enjoy performances and support a local cause while participating in a fun, community-centered night of entertainment.
