MacKenzie Gore strikes out four in first minor league start of the season
FORT WAYNE, IN (WWAY) — Fans in Whiteville, southeastern North Carolina, Indiana and San Diego were all excited to see the first start of the year for MacKenzie Gore with the Fort Wayne Tincaps tonight.
Things looked natural for Gore to start the game as he tallied a strikeout after his first batter faced. But reality would begin to kick in for Gore as the game progressed.
Gore gave up a two-run double in the third for his only runs given up in the game. The Whiteville native was limited to 66 pitches over three innings with five hits, one walk and four strikeouts.
