Man admits to shooting roommate at North Carolina home

LINCOLNTON, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say a man has shot his roommate to death after an argument in their North Carolina home.

Lincoln County deputies say 27-year-old Gary Somerset was found dead around 11 p.m. Friday in a car in the backyard of a home in Lincolnton.

Authorities say Somerset was shot in the chest and neck.

Deputies said in a news release that 25-year-old Ronald Vaughn was arrested at the home and admitted shooting his roommate.

Authorities did not give a motive for the killing.

Vaughn ix charged with first-degree murder. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
