Man arrested for allegedly calling 911 to ask for a ride
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man has been arrested for allegedly misusing the 911 system.
Kirby Dean Frennea, 34, was recently arrested for calling 911 asking for a ride, according to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.
Frennea was told Deputies could not give him a ride but he called back requesting EMS.
Deputies arrived at the address and Frennea asked again for a ride and they told him they couldn’t. When EMS arrived he asked the same and he was told they could only take him to Columbus Regional.
He was arrested and is in custody under a $500 bond.
