Man arrested on multiple drug charges

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says multiple reports from residents of the SeaBrooke community in Leland lead to a man being arrested on drug charges.

On January 7, 2026, Brunswick County Vice & Narcotics Agents arrested 34-year-old Norman Dixon without incident for felony warrants. While taking Dixon into custody, agents recovered approximately 3.5 ounces of cocaine.

Dixon has been charged with 14 counts of trafficking in cocaine, 5 counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver cocaine, 5 counts of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substances, and 5 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has also charged Dixon with possession of a firearm by a felon.
Court documents say Dixon is being held on a $120,000 secured bond and he is scheduled for his first appearance in court Thursday afternoon.
