Man injured after shooting at Pravda nightclub in downtown Wilmington Sunday morning

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A shooting broke out in a popular dance club early Sunday morning in downtown Wilmington.

Police say shortly before 2am, officers heard gunshots coming from inside Pravda night club at 23 North Front Street. A large crowd ran outside before officers rushed inside the club. Police identified 29-year-old Antonio Beatty as the suspect. Beatty is facing multiple charges including attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and carrying a concealed weapon.

He is currently being held without bond.  Police say the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries and they are asking anyone with information to contact them.
