Man receives drug charges following Wilmington traffic stop

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man has received drug charges following a recent traffic stop.
WPD units stopped a vehicle on Tuesday evening in the 1200 block of South 3rd Street for improper display of a registration plate.
Officers say they smelled marijuana as they approached. They say drugs were located, including 55 grams of packaged marijuana, in addition to scales and other small baggies.
The rear passenger, Caleb Harris, 21, was arrested and is charged with Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver, Felony Possession of Schedule VI, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He is currently being held at the NHCSO Detention Center with a $10,000 unsecured bond.
