Microsoft Windows 10 launches
(CNN) — Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 10, is available for select users starting today.
After the cool reception to its predecessor, Windows 8, Microsoft made big changes.
Among those changes? The start button is back. The look and feel of the desktop will also be more familiar to fans of the earlier versions.
There’s a new smart search app called “Cortana” that works something like Apple’s “Siri” or its Android equivalent, “Google Now”.
Makers say there is a new web browser Edge, which replaces the retiring Internet Explorer.
Now, you can only upgrade to Windows 10 today if you’ve been participating in the Windows Insider program. Everyone else will gain access over the next couple of weeks.
