Mideastern Conference releases revised Fall sports schedules

WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY)–There is not any level of football where you would play two games in a single week, but that will happen in the Mideastern conference in the coming weeks. The conference released their revised fall sports schedules today.

There are a few different circumstances where a team will have to play four games in a matter of two weeks. This has some Cape Fear region coaches worried about player safety.

“Preparation for football is not meant to be done in one practice or even two. Let alone a team playing four games during a 14 day period,” said North Brunswick Head Coach Bryan Davis.

Only a few teams will be in action this upcoming Friday night. Whiteville will be hosting Fairmont at Legion Stadium, and  West Columbus hits the road at East Bladen.
