More dangerous heat in central, eastern North Carolina
RALEIGH, NC (AP) — It will be dangerously hot again over much of central and eastern North Carolina.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Tuesday for 49 of the state’s 100 counties. The advisory is in effect from midday until early evening.
Forecasters say heat index readings could range from 105 to 107 degrees.
Cities included in the advisory include Raleigh, Durham, Fayetteville, Cary, Wilmington, Greenville, Jacksonville, Chapel Hill, Rocky Mount and Wilson.
