More than 100 vendors at Lighthouse Beer and Wine Festival
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The 14th annual Lighthouse Beer and Wine Festival was held at North Waterfront Park Saturday.
More than 100 craft breweries and wineries from across the country were there serving up all kinds of craft beers and boutique wines.
Food vendors were on site offering foods while many explored the world of hops, grape and grain.
Organizers say the weather was perfect for the event which attracted nearly 5,000 people to the festival.
“We are raising money for charity at the same time we are getting people together on this beautiful Saturday afternoon, said Lighthouse Beer and Wine Owner Jason Adams. “We have music, we have craft beer, we have local food vendors. There’s a lot of money that goes back to the community here. It’s good for the town.”
A portion of the proceeds goes to the Carousel Center, a non-profit organization committed to assisting victims of child abuse and providing critical care services to those in our area.
Adams says they have donated more than $160,000 to the Carousel Center over the past 14 years.
