Multi-agency investigation leads to major fentanyl seizures and multiple arrests

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A multiple agency months long investigation led to six people being arrested on drug charges.
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said on November 13th, detectives issued search warrants for two addresses in the 1100 block of East Stewart Circle in Wilmington. The warrants resulted in the seizure of 70 grams of fentanyl, 30 grams of oxycodone, two handguns, one sawed-off shotgun, and one pistol switch.
Marqueice Graham, 27, was arrested and charged with 11 counts trafficking opium, 5 counts conspiracy to traffic opium/heron, firearm by felon, and other charges. Graham is being held on a $1.5 million bond.
Jewelyus McCall, 19, was also arrested and charged with 13 counts trafficking opium, 5 counts conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin, possession of a weapon of mass destruction, and other charges. McCall is being held with no bond.
Troy Givens, 26, was arrested and charged with 2 counts trafficking opium, 2 counts conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin and additional charges Givens was given a $110,000 secured bond. He posted bond.
On the same day, Duplin County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in Wallace seizing 534 grams of fentanyl, 132 grams of crack cocaine, and five guns.
In Duplin County, Deremus Careem Plange, Keavon Newkirk-Murphy, and Da Shawn Dove were all arrested and more charges are pending.
Plange was charged with 2 counts trafficking opium/heroin, 2 counts trafficking cocaine. Plange posted the $150,000 secured bond.
Newkirk-Murphy was also charged 2 counts trafficking opium/heroin, 2 counts trafficking cocaine. Newkirk-Murphy was given a $150,000 secured bond.
Dove has two active warrants for 2 counts trafficking opium/heroin, 2 counts trafficking cocaine, and additional charges.
The Wilmington Police Department, Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, and the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office were all part of the investigation.
