National Gingerbread Competition to be on display until January

ASHEVILLE, NC (WLOS) — Judges in North Carolina summed their inner Hansel and Gretels for this year’s National Gingerbread House Competition.

Gingerbread engineers from four different age categories entered the contest.

Appearance, creativity, and difficulty are among the qualities sought to win the gold. Candy cottages come from far and wide to try to take home the winning title. Last year’s adult winner was from Ontario, Canada.

All the winners will be on display at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville from November 26 until January 4.
