NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher animals celebrate Halloween with pumpkin fun

FORT FISHER, NC (WWAY) — Tuesday was pumpkin day at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher.

Several animals — including the fan-favorite otters — received a pumpkin to play with and eat.

The animal care team carved and strategically placed pumpkins in habitats throughout the Aquarium, following a thumbs up from the veterinary team.

The otter team dropped the pumpkins in the habitat pools in Otters on the Edge.

Staff say the otter family of seven immediately began pushing them and trying to take a bite out of them.
