NC State defeats Duke, moves on to NCAA Final Four

RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) – The North Carolina State Wolfpack are the final team from the state remaining in the men’s NCAA tournament.

The team took down Duke on Sunday night, 76 to 64.

State advances to the Final Four for the first time since 1983, when they won their second and most recent national championship.

The 11-seed team is lowest to make the Final Four since UCLA did so in 2021 (only four other teams have done it).

An 11-seed has never made the championship game.

State will take on number one ranked Purdue Saturday at 6:09 p.m.

Alabama will go up against number one ranked UConn following that game.

The two winners advance to the NCAA Championship game on Monday night in Phoenix.
