SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — New search warrant documents uploaded to eCourts provide new details about the weapons seized from the home and boat of the man accused of a mass shooting in Southport.

Nigel Max Edge, 40, formerly known as Sean DeBevoise, is accused of killing three people and wounded six more when he opened fire on the night of Saturday, September 27, into the American Fish Company, a waterfront bar in the Southport Yacht Basin.

The affidavit states Edge was detained with a handgun, and he officers that there was a Glock in his vehicle.

When authorities later searched his home in Oak Island, they found a Remington 700 Rifle, Colt Revolver, Ruger Scout Rifle, and a CMMG Pistol with a suppressor.

Officials also searched Edge’s boat, where they recovered more two more handguns, ammunition, and a copy of the book Edge had self-published when he was known as DeBevoise. The book discussed his military service. Online records indicate he was injured in Iraq, and it is believed that Edge suffered from PTSD.

A disposition hearing for Edge is scheduled to take place on November 13 after a previous hearing was delayed due to a scheduling conflict involving his public defender.
