New driver’s license office opens in Belville to serve a growing community
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Many drivers are rejoicing in Brunswick County as a new driver’s license office opens up in Belville.
With a full parking lot, the department of motor vehicles opened a temporary modular office today (Monday) at 25 Old River Road at the NC Department of Transportation Belville Bridge Yard in Belville.
This is the second of four new offices opening throughout the state and will service an area exploding with population growth.
Driver Kim Myers said she hopes this location will reduce lines, wait times, and improve customer service.
“Some of the DMV’s I’ve been at…none of the workers seem very happy you know…they were just doing their jobs and getting it over with, but these folks seemed happy and friendly they made you feel welcome, and they got the job done,” said Myers.
This office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. For the time being, this location will only serve walk-in customers. Appointment scheduling for this location will begin in March.
