New Hanover Commission moves meetings because of lightning damage

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Damage from a lightning strike is forcing the New Hanover County Commission to move a couple of meetings.

The commissions regular meetings scheduled for September 14 and October 5 will be held at the Andre Mallette Training Center at the County Government Center at 230 Government Center Drive.

The change in location is due to an August 3 lightning that damaged electrical equipment throughout the historic New Hanover County Courthouse.
