New Hanover football back in the win column over West Brunswick


SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY)–It was a back and forth game in the first quarter on Monday night down in Shallotte, but New Hanover picked up the pace in the second quarter for the 35-7 win over West Brunswick.

The Wildcats held the 21-0 lead at the halftime break. West Brunswick came out and scored right away to begin the third quarter on a 36 yard touchdown pass from Jay Fletcher to Trey Bell. New Hanover held the Trojans scoreless the rest of the way for the win.

The Wildcats win now sets them up for a 3A title game with the Topsail Pirates on Friday night.
